The thesis, held as positions

A concentrated global strategy built on one rule: own what stays scarce when intelligence becomes abundant. Capital goes to the complements the buildout consumes, what it cannot reproduce, and the categories it makes possible.

  • Conviction on the durable layer. Power, grid, cooling and actuation, owned now and sized to hold through the cycle.
  • Discipline on the depreciating layer. Frontier silicon and platforms are bought on drawdowns, never on the narrative.
  • Reserve is a position. Cash and an options overlay are held to buy the reset the strategy expects, not to sit out the market.

Physical scarcity
Power, grid, cooling and the actuation chain: what the buildout physically consumes and cannot synthesise.
18.0%
Compute & platforms
Frontier silicon and the platforms that own the model layer. Real but depreciating: bought on drawdowns, held smaller.

Survivors, tolls & second wave
Businesses AI feeds rather than eats: data moats, agent rails, machine identity, and oligopolies whose cost base AI cuts.

Moonshots
Pre-scale, binary outcomes with 10× asymmetry. Deliberately capped: no single position above 1% of the book.

Macro scenario bets
Hard-money and real-asset expressions of the fiscal path funding the buildout. Bets, not hedges: they fall with the book in a reset.

Reserve & optionality
Cash and the put overlay. Dry powder for the drawdown the strategy is built to buy, plus the book's actual insurance.

July 2026 · close note

July was a hard month for AI hardware and a quiet one for us: the Nasdaq-100 fell 6.6% while the strategy was close to flat. The reserve and macro sleeves did that work — cash, index puts and the debasement position absorbed a semiconductor drawdown we were not chasing — and we began buying bottleneck infrastructure into the weakness. What the quarter's results changed is that AI revenue is now catching up with AI spending, while the debt funding that spending has become sharply more expensive. The honest weak link: bottleneck infrastructure sits under its band and the moonshot sleeve is empty, because the names passing our screen have not reached prices we will pay.
